Design Story

Two snarling wolverine heads flank the emblem, paws braced against the scrollwork, their expressions fixed rather than moving — guardians, not attackers. Around them, dense baroque filigree, jewel-like blue and clear stones, and curling gold vines build a heraldic frame. Beneath, a miniature rendering of Michigan Stadium sits under lamplight and evergreens, and lower still a panel reads TRADITION EXCELLENCE BROTHERHOOD FOREVER. The banner text MICHIGAN WOLVERINES crowns the top, GO BLUE runs down the handle. Navy and gold do the heavy lifting: warm metal against cool depth, ornament against clear typography.

Use & Experience

On a vertical tumbler silhouette the layout reads as a ladder — banner, crest, stadium, motto — so the focal panel stays front-facing while the ornament wraps continuously around the form.
