The eye lands on the mascot first: a growling, maize-clad bear caught mid-stride, football tucked, fist clenched, teeth bared. Everything else on the tumbler arranges itself around that single burst of movement.

Design Story

The palette is disciplined - deep navy carrying blocky maize lettering, with the block M repeated as a rhythm rather than a logo dump. Around the running mascot sit footballs, a horned helmet, a foam finger, a pennant reading MICHIGAN, a stadium panel labeled THE BIG HOUSE, and a megaphone. Beneath it all, the wraparound composition resolves into its loudest line: HAIL TO THE VICTORS! above an oversized GO BLUE! Scattered stars fill the negative space without crowding it, and a raised, sticker-stacked look gives the whole panel depth. It reads like a bulletin board of one Saturday afternoon, compressed onto a curved surface.

Use & Experience

On a tall tumbler silhouette, the vertical proportion works in the design's favor - mascot up top as the visual anchor, memorabilia in the middle band, typography grounding the base. The graphic scale is large enough to stay legible in the hand, and the front-facing focal area sits naturally beside the handle, so the roar faces outward wherever it is set down.
