Design Story

The composition is built vertically, the way a crest is built. An arched frame anchors the focal panel, with the interlocking LA monogram set inside a radiating medallion, then the script wordmark, then LOS ANGELES and EST. 1884 stepping down in scale. Below, a diamond motif and a low skyline silhouette close the panel, flanked by two palm trees that act as side columns and carry the artwork around the wraparound surface. The palette is restrained: navy base, warm silver detailing, and small faceted blue accents that read as punctuation rather than decoration. Tonal contrast does the work, so the graphic stays legible from a distance while the fine etched texture rewards a closer look.
