Some drinkware whispers. This one holds a room. A heraldic lion, a claret ground and a pale blue shield, composed with the patience of an antique medallion rather than a printed graphic.
Design Story
The composition is built around a single circular focal panel: a golden lion rampant on a soft blue shield, ringed by concentric bands of jewel-like stones and scrolling gilt filigree. Below it, an ivory banner reads ASTON VILLA in serif capitals, angled slightly so the eye travels down and around the form. A small oval marked 1874 anchors the base, while a star sits above the crest to close the vertical axis. Claret and pale blue diagonals sweep through the ornament, keeping the palette disciplined even at maximum detail.
Use & Experience
On a tall tumbler silhouette, that centred medallion sits exactly where the hand doesn't cover it, so the crest stays legible from across a desk or counter. The wraparound ornament carries the design past the handle without a visible seam in the eye, and the gold banding at rim and base frames the vertical proportion. Carry presence: quietly formal, more club heirloom than casual accessory.
