Design Story

The banner lettering sits at the top, anchoring the hierarchy before the eye drops to the figure itself. The warrior leans forward, one hand pushed toward the viewer in sharp foreshortening, and that single gesture carries most of the tension in the image. Everything else recedes into ornamental panelling, riveted borders, and a circular medallion bearing a single kanji. The palette stays disciplined — warm gold against near-black — so the cold blue lines read as pure charge. Small engraved word stacks and a lower plaque give the surface the cadence of an inscription rather than a poster.
