Design Story

The figure stands frontally, shoulders squared, torn violet cloth draped across a still body. Movement is not in the pose but around it — upswept golden hair, thin lightning arcs, and a bruised purple glow pressing outward from behind. Framing does the rest: dragons coil across the upper register, a kanji medallion anchors the right, and small orange spheres punctuate the border like fixed points on a map. Typography is stacked rather than scattered — a name plate above, short lines of text at the shoulder, a titled cartouche below — so the eye descends in clear steps. Gold ornament and near-black ground create the contrast; violet supplies the atmosphere.
