Design Story

Inside that medallion sits a single ornate script letter, framed by a bronze-toned wreath and flanked by two sculpted elephant heads facing inward. Beneath it, engraved lines read TUSCALOOSA and EST. 1831. Above the crest, a banded rim carries the words TUSCALOOSA BLACK CARD, with PEOPLE, TRADITION, EXCELLENCE, FOREVER spaced like an inscription. Lower down, a stadium facade rendered in relief sits above a nameplate reading BRYANT-DENNY STADIUM, with a blank panel below it left deliberately open. The palette is disciplined: deep crimson, black basketweave texture, warm metallic highlights. Nothing moves. That stillness is the point.

Use & Experience

On a tumbler, the composition reads as a vertical stack: rim text, central crest, architectural panel, base border. The crest anchors the front-facing focal area at eye level, while the darker textured field wraps around and keeps the detail from crowding. The handle side carries a small repeated letter mark, a minimal accent rather than a second statement. Carry presence is formal, not loud.
