Design Story

The outline is the idea. A curved horn rises at the upper left, spiked plates flare to the right, and a long tapered point drops to the bottom, so the perimeter reads as a shape before it reads as an image. Gold filigree, scale-like layering and a tattered banner edge create cutout rhythm along the border, while deep oxblood reds sit under warm brass tones for tonal contrast. The star medallion and the cross axis build a clean vertical spine through the middle, and the small hanging pendants keep the lower half from going empty. Carved-looking relief and negative space do the styling work; nothing is centred by accident.

Display & Styling

As a heteromorphic wood sign, the shape-following cut edge is the whole point — no frame, no square border, just the silhouette. Mounted on a door or entry wall, it reads at porch scale and carries a scene on its own, especially with lanterns or autumn styling nearby.
